Who's the client?
 
The client is a major telecom service provider based in the United Kingdom.
 
Objective :
 
The company was looking to acquire customers to increase their presence in the UK market. Our main objective was to involve a special area of knowledge so that the company can utilize to work on their profitability and productivity. In the competitive business climate of today, companies are gradually turning to business process outsourcing companies to perk up profitability by eradicating non productive departments or positions.
 
Achievements:
 
We fulfilled the client's objective by putting our team of telemarketing representatives on the job and started acquiring customers for them. So far we have acquired more than 5000 potential customers for our client.
 
We observed that the client's expenses on back office operations have significantly gone up since their customer database started growing at a rapid pace due to our proven telemarketing services. Hence we proposed them to extend their back office operations to us and that's how within a period of 6 months the client decided to slowly and steadily transfer all back office operations to our delivery center. Though there are no limitations but so far the client has extended its operations to only one delivery center outside the United Kingdom and that's us. We currently take care of the following operations for our client:

We involved our special area of expertise so that our client company can develop their production and profits. Thus, we started with a fine combination of different services. These include long distance and local services, bill payment, bill processing, auditing, disaster recovery, loss recovery plans and more.
 
We started with a team size of 2 representatives. Today, we have a team size of over 50 representatives exclusively handling the back office operations for the client. We helped the client save up to 50% of the cost that would have been incurred otherwise. The client is now happy to focus on its core activity i.e. business expansion.

Philippines' major BPO event completes a decade

February 1, 2010: Philippines is all set to organize the 10th e-Services Global sourcing Conference and Exhibition this coming February at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. The two day event starts on February 8 and ends on February 9, 2010. This is the largest ICT/BPO event in the country. This time it is expected to pull in 1,440 trade buyers and 120 exhibitors across the globe.

President Obama to slash tax breaks for US outsourcing companies

Washington, January 29, 2010. - US President Barrack Obama making an announcement at the State of Union address has made it clear that his government will slash tax breaks to those American firms that choose to ship jobs abroad. The sudden revelation of the tax breaks stands as a huge blow for the Indian IT - BPO industry.
The American President also added the House decision would encourage businesses to stay within their own country. Moving forward, the House has passed the Job Bill that states tax breaks would be offered to firms that create jobs within United States.
