Better Targeting for Telemarketing
The telemarketing process is target-oriented. There are various ways in which a target-oriented approach can be beneficial for the call center. The first step to such an approach is to identify the consumer bases. You cannot expect to sell your products/services across the length and breadth of the consumer market. You have to pick your areas and then target your telemarketing services accordingly. What we do is to figure out which sections of the demographics would want to purchase the products/services that we are trying to sell. We evaluate the item that we are trying to sell and then trigger our lead generation process. We like to work with a database that is cleansed off consumers that we are not targeting.
A very simple example in this regard will be our tech support telemarketing projects. When we are offering remote computer support for our clients, we do not contact the geeks and the computer experts by virtue of common sense! These sort of simple deductions from the data we have often cuts down our telemarketing services issues and help us focus better on areas that will pay dividends. We have experienced BPO data analysts who help us in figuring out what we are going to target and how we are going to achieve that. We believe in a favorable ROI than going all out and end up collecting thistles.
